Front Speakers for Superior Sound Quality (DD-8) The DD-8 delivers superior audio from stereo sources via the 2-way floor-standing front speakers. In addition to their elegant wooden enclosures, carefully finished with 10 coating processes, the speakers use an array of JVC innovations for finer sound quality: 1) The finely curved shape of the wooden enclosure prevents standing wave generation within cabinet. 2) Twin aluminum woofers feature the JVC-original Oblique Cone design. The asymmetrically-mounted voice coil eliminates interference caused by standing waves within the cone, and dampens high- and mid-frequency resonance. 3) Because the voice soils are placed closest to each other (Oblique Omni-Array Layout), sounds from the two woofers do not interfere with each other. This prevents distortion and unwanted resonance, for improved sound quality.
